whitehall check
Everything a build checks, without building an APK. The fast one.
Usage
whitehall check [target] target defaults to .: a project directory or a single .wh file. check runs the full transpile and the lint rules and
writes no output — no Kotlin, no Gradle, no device.
$ whitehall check

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
check | The compiler's checks: transpile plus lint, no output. What a build would refuse, found without waiting for one |
lint | Style, idiom and performance suggestions. Never fails a build |
compile | Transpile to Kotlin and keep the Kotlin, to read it |
check has no flags of its own. The editor runs the same gate as you type; see Editor support.
whitehall check exits non-zero when it finds an error, so it is the right
command for CI and pre-commit hooks where there is no phone.See Also
